Kurgan region - the subject of the Russian Federation located in the south-eastern part of the West Siberian Plain. Part of the Urals Federal District.
Area - 71,500 km ², which is 0.4% of the area of Russia. According to this indicator area occupies 46 th place in the country. From west to east the area extends for 430 km, and the maximum length from north to south and 290 km.
