Millions of people all over the world spend their holidays travelling. They travel to see other continents and countries, modern cities and the ruins of ancient towns. They travel to enjoy picturesque places or just for a change of scene. It's always interesting to discover new things, different ways of life, to meet different people, to try to different food, to listen to different musical rhythms. Those who live in the country like to go to the big city, visiting museums and art galleries, looking at shop windows and dinning at exotic restaurants. City-dwellers usually like acquired holiday by the sea or in the mountains, with nothing to do. Most travelers and holiday makers take a camera with them and pictures of everything that interests them - the sightsights of a city, old churches, castles, views of mountains , lakes, lakes, waterfalls, forests, trees , flowers and plants, animals and birds. Later, perhaps years later, they will be reminded by the photos of the happy times they have had. People travel by boat, by train, by plane or on foot. All means of travel have their advantages and disadvantages. And people choose one according to their plans and destinations. If we are fond of travelling we see and learn a lot of things that we can never see at home, though we may read about them in books and newspapers, or on TV. Travelling by air is more popular in our days than other ways of travelling. You can see many continents and oceans, countries and rivers, cities and lakes. I enjoy to stay at a hotel. It is more comfortable to stay there. You can enjoy being alone, to take a hot shower, to sleep in warm bed and many other advantages. Some people enjoy camping in tents. Of course, the weather must be good for that. There is nothing worse than camping in rain. If you want to travel, first, you must look through some advertisement. You can choose what hotel is worth visiting and the place where your hotel situated. You can buy the magazine named «Tourism». You can find there all trips you want. There are many photos of places which are recommend most of all. You can also find there information about camping in tents. It's very interesting to spend the whole day on the nature in the forest or near the lake. So you can't go anywhere without looking through some add. There are 2 viewpoints on travel. Some people like to go on one place and spend their holidays there. The place may be an interesting city, a picturesque willage or some other attractive place. Others believe in seeing as much as possible in the time they have. I think that our education becomes richer when you travel, meet new people, because you can see new things which you never seen in your life before.

People can also see well the spectacular New York Harbor from the top of the statue. Each year millions of tourists from all over the world visit the Statue of Liberty and remember this trip for a lifetime.

For example,Chinais becoming a very important country for business. Some teachers think it’s better for students to learn Mandarin at school than Spanish or French. At the moment French is the most popular language inUKschools but it’s not very useful for the students’ future jobs.
Geography lessons are also changing. Some people think it’s more important to learn about modern environmental problems in geography than to learn about continents and countries.
A lot of people don’t like the changes. They think it’s important for children to study traditional subjects at schools and learn different subjects later. Of course, parents want their children to learn EVERYTHING but unfortunately there isn’t enough time in the day and I’m sure children don’t want to stay at school in the evenings too!

1. People have lived on our planet for many years. We may live on different continents and in different countries, but we all depend on our planet, on the sun, on animals and plants around us. We must take care of Earth but not destruct wildlife. Many species of animals and birds are disappearing nowadays. We cut down trees to make furniture, but we forget that people can’t live without trees and plants. Every little creature or thing oh Earth plays its own part and makes our home unique.
2. One of the biggest eco problems is pollution. The main reason of pollution is rubbish Most of our rubbish goes to big holes in the ground, called ’dumps’. But dumps are very dangerous for our life, because they are full of rats, which can carry infections away from dumps. Another way to get rid of rubbish is to burn it. But the fires make poisons, which go into the air and pollute it. This is the propel scientists should get interested in. Such researchers are worth spending money on.
3. The Royal Society for the prevention of cruelty to animals (the RSPCA) tries to protect animals from bad use. It operates big nation campaigns aimed at lost pets and circus animals. The World Wildlife Fund (The WWF) rescued several species of animals mammals as well as birds. These organizations also helped to create more than 25C National parks. Greenpeace began its work 20 years ago from saving whales. And now Greenpeace is a world-famous organization, which saves plants, animals and people.
4. Every year world industry pollutes the atmosphere with about 1000 million tons ol dust and harmful substances. Many cities suffer from smog. Vast forests are cut down and burn in fire. Their disappearance upsets the oxygen balance. As a result some rare species of animals, birds, fish and plants disappear forever, a number of lakes and rivers dry up. The pollution of air and the world destruction of the ozone layer is the result of man’s careless interaction with nature, a sign of ecological crises.
5. Numerous conferences have been held to discuss questions of ecologically pool regions including the Aral Sea, the South Urals, Kuzbass, Donbass, Seiriipalatsinsfc and Chernobyl. An international environmental research center has been set up on Lake Baikal. Scientists are also doing much to preserve the environment. But these are only the initial steps that must be carried forward to protect not only for the sake of the present but for the future generations.
