1. The young businessman must

10-11 класс

find sources of money that will last until revenue begins to exceed cash
outflows. He must be creative in finding start-up funding. New small businesses
can start with the businessman’s own assets. On top of that, start-up financing
may come from friends and relatives. The larger businesses can obtain funds
from venture capital investors.

2. One of the personal assets
the businessman can use to raise funds for the business is his home. The value
of the home that the owner has paid for is called the owner’s equity in the
home. By pledging this equity, the homeowner can obtain a second mortgage or a
home equity loan.

3. A businessman can find
another source of start-up financing by life insurance policy. Many policies
build up cash surrender value – the money that the policy holder can borrow at
a low interest rate.

4. Those who need more funds
can obtain a variable rate installment loan. it is a personal loan with an
interest rate tied to the prime rate or some other index. When the index
changes, the rate changes in the same direction.

5. Some good sources of
start-up funds are family members and friends. Many people can afford to lend
at a low interest rate. The lender can share ownership of the business or can
become a partner or shareholder in a corporation.

6. In some cases, new
companies can obtain cash from venture capital firms. These financial
intermediaries specialize in funding ventures with good promise and invest in
businesses, which generate high profits within five years. Initially venture
capital firms invested in high-tech industries, but now other branches enjoy
this kind of financial aid, especially those working in the health-care field.
The venture capital firms provide seed money to start a new company, funds to
help the venture grow and gain the market and money to buy out a business.

Помогите составить короткий пересказ пожалуйста... The Tretyakov Gallery dates from 1856, when the young, wealthy Moscow

merchant, Pavel Tretyakov, started collecting paintings. Soon it became clear that is was ti be a collection of Russian art.
Pavel Tretyakov acquired the very best from contemporary painters in Moscow and St. Peterburg. Such painters as Ivan Kramskoi and Ilya Repin, the critic Vladimir Stasov often took part in the selection of pictures. Thus. Tretyakov's collection turned into a veritable centre of Russia's artistic life. Tretyakov, who was the first to appreciate the new trends in Russian painting at the end of the 19th century, started acquiring the works of then young and still little-known artists. Later he began buy and commision portraits of Russian cultural figures, thich was highly appreciated by the Russian public.
The collector's brother, Sergei Tretyakov, was also a connoiseur of art who collected pictures no only by Russian, but also by French and Dutch painters. The Tretyakov brothers' mansion in Lavrushinsky Lane had to be expanded to accommodate the two collections. Subsequently rebuilding had to be indertaken five times. The facade ot the Gallery was added to the mansion in 1902 to a design by Victor Vasnetsov.
The collection of Pavel and Sergei Tretyakov was opened to the public in 1874 as a private museum and rapidly became very popular. In 1892 Pavel Tretyakov presented his collection, by that time already famous, to the city of Moscow, but remainded the Gallery's lifelong Curator.
In 1913 Igor Grabar, who then curated the Gallerym unsisted that the so-caled carpet hanging of pictures in the order of their acquiisition was replaced by the historical-choronological principle, deoting separate rooms to the works of major Russian painters. According to Grabar this work "converted a privately owned collection into a museum of European standarts".
In 1917 the collection numbering over 4000 items, was nationalised and transformed into a state museum. Gradually it was enlarged throught additions from private collections and other museums. At the same time Western European paintings were transferred to what is today the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts.
The Gallery's collection in the soviet period increased more than tenfold. Today it is a depositury of some 47000 works of art, and the averae annual number of visitors is 1 700 000

Срочно!Помогите пожалуйста!!! нужен перевод 1 и 3 абзацы ( не по переводчику) . + ответить на вопросы. PUBLIC BEHAVIOR IN THE UNITED

KINGDOM

1. Britons, and the English in particular, are notoriously undemonstrative. The “stuff upper lip” is not just the stuff of fiction and emotional displays, positive or negative, are generally frowned upon. Gestures such as backslapping and hugging are discouraged and a wide distance should be maintained between participants in a conversation. Maintaining eye contact may be necessary when you are trying to emphasize important points but you must avoid any temptation to “eye-ball”. Talking loudly is unacceptable and shouting is beyond the pale. Some old-fashioned interlocutors may not hear you if you have your hands in your pockets. The British do not gesticulate frantically.

2. Introductions can be tricky. Ideally the British prefer third-party introductions but in certain situations, like a drinks party, it may not always be possible and, though awkward, you may just have to go ahead and introduce yourself. Firm handshakes are the norm as part of a formal introduction but may not be expected at subsequent meetings or on social occasions; a gentleman should always wait for a woman to proffer her hand before squeezing it gently. The continental habit of exchanging kisses has gained currency especially amongst the young and the affected but is not recommended for visitors – even the natives are unsure of the correct procedure.

3. “How do you do?” is a greeting not a question. It is used when people are introduced for the first time only and the correct response is to repeat “How do you do?” which is a more or less sincere enquiry as to your well-being.

4. This emotional detachment or even apparent indifference also explains the British abhorrence of Americanisms such as “Have a nice day”. The objection lies not in the sentiment itself but in the lack of sincerity that is implied to the stand-offish British mentality.

5. If the British use few words, it is because they prefer to mean those they do use. They are polite and courteous for the most part. They expect to be treated with respect, in turn for which they will treat you with respect, so: – if there is a queue, go to the back of the line and wait patiently; - do not use the “V” – sign (raising the index and middle fingers) unless you are sure which is the Churchillian version signifying peace or victory (palm outwards); the use of the alternative version (palm inwards) is less common nowadays but is still vulgar and offensive.

6. A service charge of 10-15 % is almost always included in hotel and restaurant bills and you should be wary of establishments that leave the credit card slip open for you to include an additional contribution (if you wish to reward exceptional service give cash directly to the staff). Do not tip bar staff in pubs where there is no table service. Otherwise taxi drivers (especially in London), hairdressers, porters, etc. will expect 10-15 % or a couple of pounds, whichever is the greater.
