Somebody special
My grandfather's name is Salvador. He was a farmer but he has retired. He's eighty-six, and he's the oldest of my relatives. Last year my grandmother died, so he came to live with us.
He's very tall and quite fat and he's got grey hair and a beard. He's got blue eyes, and he wears glasses. He usually wears a jacket and trousers, and at weekends when he goes out he always wears a tie.
I think he's wonderful. He's very strong and he's never ill. He's really active, and although he's retired he works hard in our garden and in his fields. He's young at heart and friendly to everyone. People who meet him always love him.
He loves walking in the country and reading. He spends most of his time reading novels and newspapers, and now he's studying French too. When he was young he learnt French in prison during the Civil War and now he wants to remember it again.
When I'm old, I'd like to be like my grandfather. He's a very special person.

The magnificent Statue of Liberty stands inNew YorkHarbourand welcomes millions of foreign visitors and citizens returning to theUnited Statesfrom abroad. The idea for such a statue originated inFranceon the occasion of the 100th anniversary of theUSA.
The French people gave August Bartholdi’s statue “Liberty Enlightening the World” to the American people in 1886. The12 acreLiberty Islandwas selected as the permanent site for the statue. It was placed upon a concrete and granite pedestal. The statue with its pedestal is305 feethigh.
Approximately 800.000 people visitLiberty Islandeach year. You can walk up 354 stairs to get to the top of the statue. An elevator takes sightseers to the top of the pedestal, but from there those who wish to venture higher, must walk up to the statue’s head, where there is an observation platform. On a clear day, this platform affords a wonderful view of the harbour andNew York. The right arm and the torch are not open to the public.
There is a museum onLiberty Island, at the foot of the statue.

У меня есть много друзей.И я очень рад этому. Часто мы собираемся большой компанией и идем гулять в парк. Катаемся на велосипедах, играем в футбол, и просто хорошо проводим время.Когда я рядом с ними, время пролетает очень быстро. Иногда мы ходим в кино, обычно мы смотрим комедии или фильмы ужасов.Вечером, мы любим гулять по городу, обсуждать фильмы и рассказывать разные истории. Недвано, трое моих друзей, уехали учиться в другой город. Каждый день мы пишем друг другу сообщения в интернете. разговариваем в скайпе. Я очень скучаю по ним. И всегда рад видеть своих друзей.
