Изобретение замазки пренадлежит американке Бетт Клэр. Она работала секретарем в офисе, и делала много ошибок при напечатывании текста. Она начала замазывать свои ошибки белой краской. Затем она сделала партию замазки и для коллег.
Свое изобретение она назвала "liquid paper". И решила создать свой завод.
В 1968г. ее фабрика производила миллилн флаконов замазки в год.
