Here also New Year's vacation ended. A lot of the interesting occurred during this period. For a start I will tell about how I met New Year.
On December 30, we with the father went for a fir-tree. Very long chose, and at last, chose a fluffy pine not big growth. When came home, the father put it at once on a little table in a hall corner. I began to decorate a fir-tree with a shining garland, beautiful Christmas tree decorations and a white streaming rain. By that moment when I stopped decorating a Christmas tree and decorated a hall with the room, mother came from work. And I began to help it to prepare different dishes for a tomorrow's New Year's table.
I celebrated New Year in a family circle: with mother, the father and the little sister. We listened to a New Year's congratulation of the president, hours punched 12 and I made wish which has to come true this year. Father Frost brought me under a fir-tree a soccerball, the book with Arthur Conan Doyle's story "The Hound of the Baskervilles", beautiful writing-books and it is a lot of sweets. Generally all that I wanted. And next day we went on a visit to the grandmother with the grandfather — congratulated them on the come New Year, and then went to representation near a fir-tree on a theater square. There arranged competitions Father Frost with the Snow Maiden, we with them drove round dances, sang songs. I told a rhyme to Father Frost and he to me presented a photo album.
In other days I went out in the yard with the friends. We built a snowman, played snowballs and rode from a hill a sledge. As I went with parents on a skating rink. Though I not strongly am able to ride and was there for the first time, very much it was pleasant to me and I with pleasure will go once again when mother with the father will resolve.
There came Christmas. The window was followed by a beautiful snowball, I had a festive mood. We were going to go all family on a visit to Godfathers of the sister as my Godfathers live not in our city. Guests at them was much, and we have a good time: talked, joked, laughed and even danced. Very much I liked to observe as mother with my elder sister guess at night before Christmas.
For Old New Year to us on a visit there arrived the mother's brother with the son. All of us together went to walk around the city. Showed sights of our city, visited theater and were in circus. So, New Year's and Christmas holidays quickly flew by, time came to prepare for a new educational semester. I repeated the passable material on literature, mathematics and Russian. Mother checked exercises which I carried out, and to the father I told verses which learned. I started reading "The Hound of the Baskervilles".
