The development of science and technology is known
to be the most important source of the steady growth of the people's
well-being.

I was born on the 19th of November 1985, in Kiev, Ukraine. Like all other people I studied at school. My school was a little special – only two schools in our city taught Spanish instead of English. I was very proud of it. But when the time passed, many times I thought that it was a big mistake. Then I went to a college and started to work. I tried combining these two things, but I thought that work was more important and my studying always suffered. One of the biggest problems was the English language. I needed it for my work and for my college, but I had never studied it and had to start from the beginning. At 19 I met my future husband. A few years later I married him and came with him to Chicago. What about now? More than two years have passed since I first came to the USA. Two months ago we moved from Chicago to Elmhurst. And I like our new apartment. It isn't cheaper, but it's located in a nice complex with free indoor pool and gym. At first it was a little inconvenient because there is not enough public transportation in Chicago's suburbs. But about a month ago I obtained driver's licence (I'm still happy about it), and now I don't depend on public transport anymore. My visa doesn't allow me to work in the USA so I spend a lot of time at home. I'm an introverted person, so most of my free time I spend reading books or some articles on the internet. I like to go for a walk, but I don't like bars or restaurants. I don't like noisy places at all.I have many plans for my future. Sometimes I think that I have too many plans for one life. For the near future I plan to visit many places in Chicago and the suburbs and a few more places in other states. I have to say that I that I'm not sure how realistic my plans are. Of course I want to learn English. The next goal is not to forget English, like it was with Spanish, so I have to find some ways to practice and improve it. In one or two years I plan to return to Ukraine so I have to improve my other skills and may be learn something new to find job I will like. However in a few years I may think about children and all my plans may change.

but life is generally boring . I dont fancy living here when im older and dream of going to live in a big city. my friends and I spend a lot of time on the internet playing games and chatting and we watch DVDs . Of course , like all teenagers, we always have homework to do

as a way of expression. However, other people say they have created to for them to notice. Others think that it is a protest against the parents.
In my opinion, the main reason of joining the group is the ability to show your solidarity with like-minded friends.
Different subcultures have their own beliefs, values, fashion and favourite music. For example, hippies of the 1970s wore unusual clothes and had long hair. Furthermore, defending his point of view, the hippies do not resort to violence. By their nature they are peaceful and try to live in harmony with nature.

unfortunately, not all groups are peaceful. Sadly, some of them are prepared to physically hurt people in an attempt to get their message across. For example, punks are opposed to the values and norms in the society. They express this in loud and violent music, strange clothing and hair of unusual colours.
