Preparation of tablets
One knows that a tablet is the most common form of medication for the administering of drugs in a dry state. Its preparation consti¬tutes an important part of modem “Pharmaceutical Technology”. The method of tablet making or tabletting is defined as a process of pres¬sure of powdered medicine.
It is generally observed that some tablets are made easier from certain drugs than from other ones. For example, sodium chloride is used without the addition of auxiliary substances. But for lactose the addition of such substances is necessary to overcome certain difficul¬ties. It is interesting that in the process of tabletting some materials are continuously binding and sticking in the special machine. Stick¬ing takes place when there is too much moisture in the granules be¬cause of insufficient drying, etc.
The application of different pressure during tabletting plays a very great role. It is important that tablets which are being dissolved slowly by saliva in the mouth are more strongly compressed than other ones using for common internal administration. Another important effect of higher pressures is an increase of friction which causes the use of greater amount of lubricating and gliding substances, such as natural starch. The use of starch as an auxiliary component in tablet making is generally recognized. It was stated that starches possessed very good gliding properties and didn’t show any lubricating action.

так долго не писал тебе, и спасибо, что написал первый. Ты писал, что у тебя скоро начнутся экзамены, и ты, наверное, хочешь, что бы я помог тебе. Начнём по порядку. Во-первых, хочу ответить на все интересующие тебя вопросы. Каждый год мы сдаём письменный и устный экзамен по английскому, а в конце 9 и 11 класса мы сдаём, как и вся Россия, ГИА и ЭГЭ. Мне они не очень нравятся, т.к. я затрачиваю на подготовку очень много времени и нервов, а потом оказывается, что было не так уж и страшно. Но со стрессом до экзамена справляться бесполезно, ты будешь нервничать до того момента, пока ты не приступишь к делу. И ни в коем случае не ешь ничего перед экзаменом, только шоколадка и вода или сок. Кстати, поздравляю с наступающим днём рождения Джона. Где он будет праздновать? Сколько человек придёт? Помогите ответить на письмо, пожалуйста. I love everyone in my family and they are very nice to me. However, there is something that troubles me
a lot and makes me feel a kind of disadvantaged. The point is that there is no sense of family in our house. We never fight with each other, and there are no family rows. We try not to get on each other's nerves, but we never do anything together. Everyone is preoccupied with their own business. Mum normally does some cooking, looks through some papers or discusses something with her collegues on the phone. Dad either watches TV or upgrades his car. My brother, who is eight, draws something or plays computer games. As for me, I just feel bored and lonely. To conceal it I pretend to be very busy with my homework, or go out even when I don't feel like doing it at all. Is it the same in other families? If you happen to have some ideas on how to help us. I'd really appreciate it. What could we do together to feel that we are together.
