Краткое содержание. Машина времени может отправить человека в прошлое. Сегодня охота на динозавров. Но все обставлено очень сложно. Убить должны того динозавра ,который и без них через минуту должен погибнуть. Для сафари проложена тропа,которая парит в воздухе,не касается ни одного дерева, цветка,травинки. Сходить с тропы нельзя ни при каких условиях.Проводник объясняет,мто раздавив мышь,нарушите всю жизненную цепочку на миллион лет,изменится история человечества.
Экельс,заплативший за путешествие в прошлое, испугался динозавров и , отправляясь в машину времени,сошел с тропы.
Возвратившись на землю, путешественники обнаружили, что Экельс растоптал бабочку. Жизнь в государстве изменилась (к власти пришел президент ,который вчера проиграл выборы.) И грянул гром.
