London
London is the capital of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It is situated on the Thames. It is a large industrial and cultural center. It is one of the largest cities in the world. It's population is more than 8 million people.
The Thames divides London into parts: the West End and the East End.
The West End is the distract of the rich. In the West End there are many Famous museums and theatres, palaces and parks.
The City is the commercial center of the country. Whitehall is the political center.
The East End is the district of factories and of the poor.
There are very many places of interest: the Houses of Parliament , the Tower, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, the British Museum .
The Houses of Parliament is the place where the English Government and Parliament sit.
The Tower of London was a fortress, a palace and a prison many years ago. Now it’s a museum.
Trafalgar Square is named is memory of Nelson’s great victory. In the middle of the square stands the famous Nelson Column with a statue of Nelson on the top of it.
Piccadilly Circus with its famous central fountain on the top of which stands a statue of Eros, the Greek god of love, is the heart of the West End.
The British Museum is really a history museum. It is one of the most famous museum of the world.
In Westminster Abbey English kings and queens are crowned and many famous men are buried there: Charles Dickens, Kipling, Shakespeare, Burns, Byron, Scott and other.
Buckingham Palace is know all over the world to be the home of Britain’s Kings and queens. The House was bought by George III in 1762 from the Duke of Buckingham, from whom it takes its name. Queen Victoria was the first to make the Palace her official residence.
St. Paul’s Cathedral is the masterpiece of the well – known English architect Christopher Wren.

Non-ferrous metals are more expensive than ferrous metals and are used only when some characteristic not possessed by iron or steel is essential or desirable in application. These characteristics are: high electrical and thermal conductivity, high corrosion resistance, non-magnetic qualities, light weight, etc.

The metals most frequently used to make non-ferrous metal castings are copper, tin, zinc, lead, nickel, gold and aluminium. Some of the basic non-ferrous metals and their characteristics are described below.

Copper is a reddish-brown, tough metal. It has very high electric conductivity and high corrosion-resistant qualities. Copper is used for making electrical contacts and wires, pipes, telephone cables, tanks, water heaters, etc.

Zinc is a hard, brittle, bluish-white metal that is employed in the pure form as sheet zinc.

Lead is a very heavy bluish-grey metal which is very soft. This metal is highly resistant to corrosion, but its strength is so low that it must be supported by a core of some other metal. Lead is used for lining pipes, acid tanks and coating electrical cables.

Aluminium is a soft, silvery white metal. It is light weight, has high corrosion-resistant qualities and is used for automobile and airplane parts as well as for making different light-weight objects used in everyday life such as: frames, cooking utensils, chairs, etc.

In European
countries much attention is paid to schooling and vocational training. The
better the schooling and vocational training is the better the chances in jobs
and life. This old adage is especially true for the disabled.

There are
for example special schools and institutions, where disabled children receive
the assistance required for their optimum development. There are institutions
for the mentally, behaviorally , physically disabled, those with speech and
learning disabilities, for the deaf, blind and persons with impaired vision.

These
schools consist of half-day and day schools and some with residential facilities.
Compulsory schooling for disabled persons continues psychology services help
parents. Disabled persons who wish to study centers have experience in the
particular problems of disabled students and are able to offer assistance.
Disabled persons often have to overcome particular difficulties in the ficld of
work. The choice of vocation is of importance. The choice of vocation is of

persons. Their work is supported by doctors, phychologists and technical
advisors. Vocational advisors can also help in finding a suitable training
course for disabled persons.

There are a
number of financial benefits for disabled persons, taking up vocational
training and for the employer. It is the duty of vocational advisor to provide
the necessary measures. The main task of vocational training is to enable
disabled persons to take up an adequate occupation. Integration in working life
is a substantial part of integration into community life as a whole.

Vocational
rehabilitation centres do not only provide vocational skills and knowledge, but
also train social behavior required for
the future working life.
