«Боже мой! — сказала она. — Я забыла о своих пирожных. Я должна вернуться и положить в них начинку». Амелия Беделия прошла обратно к дому Роджерсов.
«Я только сделаю шоколадный крем», — сказала Амелия Беделия. Она положила немножко этого и чуть-чуть того в кастрюлю. Она все смешала и перемешала. И вскоре ее шоколадный крем был готов.
В кухню вошла миссис Роджерс.
«Вкусно пахнет», — сказала она.
«Вот, — сказала Амелия Беделия, — я только начиню пирожные, потом я пойду дальше».
«О нет! — сказала миссис Роджерс. — Извините, что я вышла из себя. Пожалуйста, возвращайтесь, Амелия Беделия. Мы скучали по вам».
«Хорошо, — сказала Амелия Беделия. — С удовольствием».
Мистер Роджерс зашел в кухню.
«Я хочу есть, — сказал он. — Амелия Беделия, пожалуйста, разогрейте мне банку супа».
«Хорошо», — сказала Амелия Беделия. Она взяла банку супа. Она поставила ее в кастрюлю. И Амелия Беделия подогрела эту банку супа.
