Nelsons Column. There are four lions at the bottom of the column. You can see lovely fountains and historical monuments in the square. When the weather is fine,Trafalgar Square is full of tourists. They take photos,walk around the square and enjoy the sights. In December there is a colourful 50-metre Christmas tree in the centre of the square. It marks the beginning of Christmas and New Year in Great Britain. Different cultural festivals take place in the square. Everyone can take part in the events.

It also has a large sculpture collection. 5) This Concert Hall is a circular brick building under a glass-and-metal roof. The Hall was built in 1867-1871. It is a big concert hall, seating 8,000. It is used for concerts, athletic events, for public gathering and other functions. 6) This Shop was built in 1567. It was described by Charles Dickens in his novel of the same title. The shop still sells curios. 7) This area is in the centre of the west End of London. It was named in commemoration of the victorious naval battle of 1805, in which a famous English admiral was fatally wounded. 8) This building long continued to be both a fortress and a palace. It was also a prison. Now it is simply Britain’s most famous and most visited historic building. According to tradition it is guarded by the Yeoman Warders. Task 6. Look at the photos below.
