переведите пожалуйста!! I've been In Almaty for nearly two weeks now-it's a big city in the south of Kazakhstan. I'm having a wonderful time. Last week, i

explored the city with my Kazakhstani friend, Dariga. We stareted in Republic Square and saw the independence Monument with the statue of the " Golden man" on the top. Then we went to Panfilov Park and visited the beautiful cathedral. It was built in 1907 and, apparently, it's the second tallest wooden building in the world. That evening we went back to Republic Square to see Firework display. The next day we went to the museum of a famous writer, Mukhtar Auezov. I learned about one of his play, Enlik and Kebek. It's a bit like the English play Romeo and Juliet Wiliam Shakespeare. A boy and girl From two different tribes fell in love, but their families didn't want them to be together, because the two tribes were enemies. So Enlik and Kebek ran away and lived in the mountains. Unfortunately, their families foun them - very sad, but very romantic, I suppose! Dariga has taken me top lots of different restaurants. My favourit food here is plov ( a rice , vegetable and lamd dish) and i also love sansas with fruit, honey and nuts-delicious! Dariga speaks Kazakh and Russian and English, of course. There are a lot of different nationalities living in Almaty. I've practised my German and French here too. Yesterday, a Kazakh guide took us into the mountains. We went fora long walk through the forests with beautiful views of the snow on the top of the mountains. This evening we're going to the Arasan Baths. It'll be the perfect way to relax after all this sightseeing. i can't wait to see you and show you all the photos. заранее огромное спасибо!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. On the bed between the two girls were some letters, which were laid1. On the bed between the two girls were some letters, which were laid

facedown so that they couldn’t see return addresses. Blair got seven letters and five letters were Serena’s. “Okay. Ready?” Serena asked.
Blair closed her eyes and took the first letter. “Okay. Let’s do it.”
Rriipp! Rriipp! Rriipp!
2. Blair looked at Serena. “How’d you do?” she asked.
Serena could tell from the scary look on Blair’s face that the news was not good. She didn’t know what to say. “Urn, I got a place ... um ... everywhere?”
Blair stared at the acceptance letters in Serena’s hands. On top was a cream -colored letter with the blue Yale University letterhead. “Wait, you applied to Yale?” isked Blair.
“Yes,” Serena nodded.1 “At the last minute I just decided, why not, you know?”
“And you got a place?”
Serena nodded again. “Sorry.”
3. The way Blair was looking at her was making Serena nervous. What did Serena have that she didn’t? She was in the top of her class at school and took every AP* course they offered. She was the best at the SAT. She did charity work. She was the leader of the French club. She was an excellent tennis player. Her entire high-school career — practically her whole life — she’d been working toward entering Yale. Her father had gone there. His father had gone there. Her great-uncle had donated two buildings and a playing field. Serena took no APs at all, and did only a few extracurricular activities. Serena’s dad had gone to Princeton and Brown, two of Yale’s biggest competitors.2 Still, Yale had accepted Serena and put Blair on their wait list!
4. “I probably won’t even go,” Serena made an attempt to make things less important. “I have to ... you know ... visit all the schools before I decide,” she gath-tred her blond hair on top of her head. “Maybe I won’t even go to college right iway. I could stay in the city and try to do some acting or something.”
5. So Serena got into Yale, but she didn’t even really want to go there. Serena collected her letters and held them behind her back.
“What about the other schools? You must have —”
“I got wait listed at Yale. The only place that accepted me is Georgetown. Stupid Georgetown. But it was my safety.”
Serena stared at her for a moment her eyes wide with surprise. “That’s not so bad,” Serena said. “I’m sure Yale is hard to enter. And if you didn’t enter, at least you have backup.”

London And now imagine, my dear pupils, we are going on an excursion round London. As you know, London stands on the river Thames. London, the capital

of Great Britain, is a very old city. It is two thousand years old. Many years ago London was a small town on the Thames. Now London is a big port and a beautiful city with large squares and parks. About 8 million people live here. London is one of the biggest cities in the world. The Thames is not a long river. It is 3 hundred and 30 kilometers long. The English people call it “The Father of London”. London began on the Thames. And now we start our tour from Tower Bridge. Tower Bridge is the only Thames bridge, which can be raised. The road over the bridge is built on two central sections. These sections open 2 or 3 times a week to let ships through. If you want to see London the best place to go is The Eye. London Eye is a big wheel on the river Thames. The Eye is very popular. Every day 1600 people go to the eye. There are 33 capsules and one ride takes 30 minutes. The Eye is very tall – 133 meters. At the top of the Eye you get a great view of London. You can see Buckingham Palace. Buckingham Palace is the London home of the kings and queens of Great Britain. Now the Queen Elizabeth lives there. When the flag is flying on the top, she is at home. Buckingham Palace has 600 rooms, a swimming pool, a cinema, a ballroom and a garden. In summer the Queen gives three garden parties for about 9000 guests. The ceremony of the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace is a great tourist attraction. It takes place every day at 11.30 a.m. and lasts half an hour. To the sounds of music the guardsmen in their traditional bearskins arrive and give the palace keys to another group. On the right bank of the Thames you can see the Tower of London. The Tower of London is a very old building. It is 9 hundred years old. In the early days of the history of England the English Kings lived here. Then it was a prison where many people died. Black ravens had much food near the walls of the Tower in those years. Black ravens live outside the Tower now. The English people like them very much. A man looks after the ravens and gives them food in the morning and in the evening. The ravens have names. The Tower of London is a museum now. The walls of the Tower are 5 meters thick. In the museum you can see many old guns. At 10 o’clock every evening the guards lock the big doors of the Tower for the night. And now we are making our way to the Houses of Parliament. The famous clock Big Ben stands near the Houses of Parliament. The country’s leaders speak in the Houses of Parliament. The men and women there are the voice of the British people. The Houses of Parliament stand beside the river Thames. You can see Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament from Westminster Bridge. Tourists in London always want to visit Westminster and see Big Ben. They want to see the clock in its tower and to hear the bells. Big Ben is really a bell. It is a big bell. The bell weights 13 tons. The man who built Big Ben was very tall and workers and his friends called him Big Ben. So the English people called the bell Big Ben too. We are coming now to Westminster Abbey. Westminster Abbey is a historic building. It is a symbol of England. The legend says that Westminster Abbey was founded by St Peter himself. We know that Westminster Abbey was built by King Edward in 1065. The coronation of all British kings and queens takes place in Westminster Abbey. Some famous English people are also buried here. Westminster Abbey is a very beautiful building.Переведите пожалуйста

sailing ship. There was a terrible storm. He was the only person who did not drown.

Robinson found some useful things on the ship: some food and some clothes, some carpenter`s tools and two guns.

Robinson reached an island with his things. The island was beautiful but no one lived there.

Robinson was alone. He watched as the ship sank.

Robinson cut down trees and built a small house. He found animals and fruit to eat. He found some goats on the island and started a small farm. He had a parrot, wich he used to talk to. He learned how to cook and make clothes. He grew corn and learned how to make bread. But he was alone on the island for twenty-four years.

Tnen, one day, a man came to the island, and Robinson saved his life. He called this man Friday because that was the day when he found him. Robinson taught Friday to speak English, and Friday helped Robinson on tne farm.

Finally, after twenty-eight years, Robinson was rescued by a passing ship. He returned to England and Friday went with him. They were friends for the rest of their lives.

Сделайте 8 вопросов к тексту. I'm going to talk about a phenomenon which happens very often in spring and summer and causes a lot of damage and even the

deaths of people and animals. This is flooding. We call it a flood when a very large amount of water covers an area that is usually dry.
I am going to use St Petersburg as an example of an area that gets regularly flooded. Floods in St Petersburg have a long history. Some of the floods were really disastrous. They not only destroyed buildings and streets but also killed and injured people.
When people started living on the Neva River in 1700, they didn't build houses — they just built light huts which could be easily put on rafts and tied to trees, so as not to be carried away by floods.
In 1715, there was a very big flood. If you look at the picture at the top you can see that some people used boats and others stayed on the roofs of their houses. All the city bridges and buildings on the banks of the river were destroyed by the flood. Many people drowned. Lots of cows, pigs and goats died.
The second picture illustrates the biggest flood the city has ever seen. It was in 1777 when the water was about 3.5 metres higher than its usual level. There were no streets and squares any more — just one big lake. The storm was severe. The following facts show the scale of the disaster: 2,000 trees were torn out and carried away. Just imagine a wooden house was moved to the opposite bank of the Neva River.
Since that time there have been big floods in the city every five years. So people started building firm constructions. They also decided to build a dam to protect the city from flooding.
To conclude I'd like to say that though floods can be severe and dangerous, people can learn how to tame them and survive.
