I like sport. It plays a great role in my activities. Most of all I like to play basketball. I am the best player and often take part in different sport competitions. Sometimes we win them but sometimes we lose. Basketball is a team game. It is played in any season because you play this game is indoors game. It is played in a gym. But sometimes you can see streetball - basketball in an open air. There are two baskets in this exciting game and only one orange ball. Players must throw the ball to the basket and get to it to score a goal. There are two teams with only five players.

It goes without saying that sport plays an important role in people's life. It is popular with the old and the young. Many people do morning exercises, go jogging and go to the gym. Personally I prefer individual sports, athletics, for instance. People say that it is "the queen of all sports". It comprises such kinds of sports as running, jumping (long and high jumps) and others. Sport helps me to become strong, to develop physically and it also makes me more organized.

The great central tower, the White Tower, was built around 1090 by William the Conqueror on the site of a Roman fort built there more than 1000 years earlier. Massive defensive walls and other towers were added later. Through the centuries , the Tower of London has been a citadel , a palace , a prison for offenders against the State , the home of the Mint, the treasury for the Crown Jewels , a menagerie , the first royal observatory. Three queens of England have been beheaded within its walls.
