The British Islands appeared due to some changes in pressure, atmosphere, biosphere and underwater currents. North Wales, North of England and the central region of England. The Grampian Mountains stretch Scotland from North to South. The highest peak is Ben Nevis - gloomy, isolated, a home of deer and eagle. At the foot of the mountains there are a lot of moors rich in peat and heather. The geographical border between Scotland and England are the Cheviot Hills, the only place where you can find special species of black-faced sheep. Their wool is of the highest quality and is called "the cheviot". The Pennines stretch England from North to South; they are rich in minerals (such as coal and copper fields, leads, salt, clay, and tin) The Cambrian Mountains are in Wales with the highest peak Snowdon - a place of holiday camps and health resorts. The Chalk Cliffs are on the East Coast of Britain. When Julius Cesar approached the shore, he and his warriors saw the Cliffs that's why thy called the country the White Land. Lowlands are in the central and southern parts of Scotland. The South of England - Kent is called the Garden of England. It is represented by low hills, valleys and planes.

Twelve thousand years ago,it was the time of the last ice Age,the earth was different from now.The weather was very cold and there were different types of plants and animals.Huge animals such as the woolly mammoth,woolly rhinoceros and mastodon lived in the north of Europe and Asia and in North America.These animals died out shortly after the Ice Age came to an end.
In the Ice Age there were different species of early man.Their life was really hard.They learned to be good hunters,had many tools and lived in family groups.They looked and did like modern people,yet they were not like us.
They hunted and killed mammoths and other animals.But dangerous animals killed them too.They walked a lot to find food.They were strong and powerful.They could think and understand many things.
Early people needed food,homes,clothing and tools.They had religious leaders,community leaders,and doctors.They had no schools but their children leaders at home.
Some time passed and they learned a lot.They were as we are.
They began human history.

The giant panda lives in a few mountain ranges in central China, mainly in Sichuan province, but also in the Shaanxi and Gansu provinces. As a result of farming, deforestation and other development, the panda has been driven out of the lowland areas where it once lived.
Now the problem of disappearance of rare animals is actual. Giant panda also in this list.The giant panda is an endangered species. It may become extinct. In 2013, it was estimated that there were less than 2,500 mature giant pandas living in the wild. Illegal hunting is no longer a problem. It is a crime. The penalties are harsh.
The greatest threat to survival is the loss of living areas. People are ruining the areas where pandas live. They are cutting down trees. They are building farms. Groups of pandas are forced to live in small areas. They are isolated. They cannot mix other panda groups.Giant pandas eat bamboo. Sometimes the bamboo dies off. At one time, pandas could move to an area where bamboo was still growing. Moving has become more and more difficult. People are living and working in panda areas. Pandas cannot move about as freely as they once did.
I consider that we will protect these lovely animals. We will not allow them to die. Who else will protect them, if not we.
