Sports in England
Most schools in England have a sports day once a year in late spring or summer. On that day schools have no lessons. The competitors change into their sports clothes. The running track is circular ('track' is a prepared path for racing; 'track is circular' means that the path goes round or it has the shape of a circle), and inside there are places for the high jump, the long jump and throwing the discus. All these events take place at the same time as the running, so there is plenty to watch. There is a large blackboard on which the results are chalked up for all to see. In the middle of the programme there is a break for lunch and if it is a sunny day, the children sit on the glass eating their sandwiches. If it begins to rain they give up their programme and go back to school. At the end of the day the captain of the winning team is presented with a shield, the winners of different events are congratulated and the children leave the place. It is surprising they can get in one day in the open air and they all feel better for their sports day.

Спорт в Англии.
Большинство школ в Англии устраивают спортивный день(день здоровья) один раз в год в конце весны или лета . В этот день в школе отменяют занятия. Конкуренты(участники) переодеваются в спортивную одежду. Беговая дорожка имеет круглую форму ( "трек"- это подготовленный путь для гонок ; "круговой трек"- означает, что путь идет по кругу или он имеет форму круга), а внутри находится место для прыжков в высоту, прыжков в длину и метания . Все соревнования проходят в одно и то же время, так что есть много на что посмотреть. Существует большая доска(результативная), на которой записываются результаты спортсменов, для того чтобы все могли их видеть.. В середине программы происходит перерыв на обед, и если это солнечный день, дети сидят на траве и едят свои бутерброды. Если начинается дождь , они отказываются от соревнований, и возвращаются в школу. В конце дня капитану победившей команды вручают щит, поздравляют победителей различных соревнований и дети покидают трек. Это удивительно, они могут провести один день на открытом воздухе, почувствовать себя лучше в этот спортивный день.

There is a theory which says that at one time,at the beginning of history all the people of europe spoke one and the same language.They call it a parent language.Maybe there were two or more parent languages in Europe.At first they belonged to small groups of people.By and by these groups becam bigger and went to live in new lands.In their new countries they first spoke their old language but with time speech began to sound different.Ii the new places those people stopped using some of the old words and so they forgot them.The structure of their sentences slowly changed too.They aslo made new words to speak about new things they found in the new lands.After a long time the changes in words,pronunciation and grammar were so great that their language began to sound like a different one.That was how a new language was born.In just these ways,Spanish,French and Portuguese developed from Latin and English,Norwegian,Dutch and some other languages grew from Old German.
